Neighborhood Food Collection Drive November 1-13
November 1–13, 2026
Dear Neighbors,
A few extra items in your shopping cart can make a difference for a neighbor facing a difficult month. This November, the Cabernet Highlands Sunshine Committee invites you to join our annual food drive to help families in Northern Nevada put food on the table.
From November 1 through November 13, you can participate by donating nonperishable food or making a financial contribution through our Virtual Food Drive.
Donate Food Close to Home
Donations of canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, and other nonperishable foods are welcome. Please give what comfortably fits your household budget—every contribution matters.
Drop off your donations during daylight hours at either location:
7115 Souverain Lane
7450 Souverain Lane
If a collection barrel is unavailable when you arrive, please contact Patrick Shea at 775-721-6742 to arrange a donation drop-off.
Give Through Our Virtual Food Drive
You can also help without making a trip to a collection barrel. Our Virtual Food Drive provides a convenient way to contribute financially to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
Financial gifts give the Food Bank flexibility to purchase food and respond to needs that donated groceries alone may not meet. Whether you donate food, contribute online, or do both, your support helps our neighbors.

Why Our Support Matters
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program—SNAP—helps eligible households purchase groceries. Federal changes to the program have added concerns about future funding and access to assistance. Food banks remain another essential source of help for neighbors struggling to make ends meet.
Our neighborhood drive is one practical way to help. Please consider contributing and sharing this invitation with friends and family.
If you or someone you know needs help applying for or renewing SNAP benefits, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada offers free assistance.
Thank you for helping make this a season of neighbors helping neighbors.
